Job Description:
KENS 5, the CBS affiliate in San Antonio, is seeking a Digital News Producer / Video Specialist. The role involves creating engaging digital content, producing high-quality videos, and curating content for various platforms such as KENS5.com, the KENS 5 app, and social media. Collaboration with the digital team and news staff to develop innovative content and reaching new audiences are key responsibilities.
Requirements:
- College degree in journalism, mass communications, or marketing.
- Minimum of two years of professional digital content production experience.
- Strong background in digital news with experience covering breaking news.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop for editing.
- Ability to create engaging headlines and social media posts.
- Familiarity with AP Style and the capability to edit stories quickly.
- Self-motivated with a creative approach to achieving digital results.
- Capacity to work independently, multitask effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in appearing on air as a news or digital reporter is a plus.
- Familiarity with digital content management systems.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
