Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join them on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension, based in Berlin with a hybrid remote work setup. The role involves working on a long-term project in the infrastructure product line, focusing on delivery and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a core member of the project
  • Utilize expertise in Python, Microservices Architectures, Pydantic, REST APIs, etc.
  • Implement and interface with APIs such as OpenAPI, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Follow agile and DevOps practices
  • Contribute to distributed and decoupled software architectures
  • Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with Microservices Architectures
  • Familiarity with Pydantic or similar ORM frameworks
  • Good understanding of REST APIs, especially FastAPI
  • Knowledge in creating and interfacing with APIs like OpenAPI, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Expertise in Distributed/Decoupled Software Architectures
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices
  • Strong background in Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Ability to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo Workflows, and Argo CD
  • Previous experience with GitOps and tools like ArgoCD and Flux

Additional Information

  • Must have a C1 level of English language proficiency
  • Available to work on-site in Berlin for approximately 25% of the time
  • Candidate should be able to work through their own registered company (B2B) or equivalent freelance method
