Job Description
The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is looking for a Social Media Specialist to manage the online community of educators and stakeholders. The Specialist will work with the Communications Director to develop and execute social media strategies.
Responsibilities Include
- Represent NCAE on social media platforms
- Organize NCAE members and storytellers online
- Develop a social media plan and calendar
- Create a network of influencers in North Carolina
- Write content for social media, including TikTok and Instagram
- Set and track social media goals
- Support local affiliates with social media best practices
- Monitor media coverage and update NCAE staff
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of digital communications experience
- Experience managing social media platforms
- Ability to design innovative programs
- Commitment to member-led organizing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of equity, inclusion, and anti-racism
- Project management skills with attention to detail
- Collaborative and team-oriented
- Willingness to work flexible hours
Location
The position is based at NCAE headquarters in Raleigh, with occasional travel within the state.
Compensation
This temporary position offers an annual salary of $61,681.00 plus benefits as per the NCAE/NCSO staff union contract.
