Job Description

Chapman Tate Associates is seeking a skilled React.js Developer for a 6-month contract in a hybrid role based near Sheffield. The developer will join the in-house team to work on a new product, focusing on designing and implementing user interface components for a reporting solution.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with the development team on user interface ideas and application requirements.
• Designing and developing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Coding, troubleshooting, and debugging application code.
• Developing front-end architecture and supporting user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
• Documenting application changes and updates.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a React.js Developer.
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Understanding of DOM manipulation and Virtual DOM.
• Familiarity with React tools: React.js, Vite, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks like Mocha and Jest.
• Proficiency in browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Good project management and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to help upskill the in-house team.

Nice to Haves

• Any backend experience, especially ASP.NET Core.
• Understanding of Microservice architecture.
• Experience with Docker management and deployment.
• Knowledge of Azure PaaS.
• Familiarity with other JS/common libraries like Angular, RXJS, SwaggerGen.
