Job Description
News 12 is looking for a creative and driven Digital Producer to assist in the production of daily news content. The ideal candidate will be involved in creating digital news content for all seven regions covered by News 12 Networks.
Responsibilities:
- Organize compelling digital news copy
- Attend editorial meetings for assigned region
- Write scripts for web stories
- Perform quick edits on videos for digital stories
- Create daily editorial plans based on regional coverage
- Send push alerts and update the website for breaking news stories
- Collaborate with various departments to meet deadlines
- Publish content on social media platforms
Requirements
- Basic background/education in news and digital news publishing
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong grammar, copy editing, and communication skills
- Basic familiarity with Photoshop and video editing (a plus)
- Ability to learn new systems and software quickly
- Knowledge of SEO, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms
- Organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
