Job Description

The N.C. Department of Information Technology’s Strategic Communications Office is looking for a detail-oriented videographer to create engaging visual content that communicates the department’s mission and initiatives effectively. The ideal candidate will have a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and strategic thinking. Responsibilities include planning and producing high-quality videos, collaborating on concepts and scripts, filming and editing footage, ensuring brand consistency, and managing production schedules. This position involves in-state travel and a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

• Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve, and take initiative
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in videography
• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software (such as Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Experience with video production equipment and maintaining equipment
• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• A solid portfolio showcasing creative storytelling and technical proficiency

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, film production, digital media, communications, or a related field
• Three years of relevant work experience
• Proven track record of producing high-quality video content
