Job Description

Orca Creative Team is seeking experienced photographers to join their team in Washington D.C. You will primarily photograph weddings and engagement sessions, with all administrative tasks and editing handled by the team.

Main Responsibilities as a Freelance Photographer:

• Photograph weddings, engagement sessions, and elopements in the D.C. area.
• Provide exceptional customer service to couples.
• Capture weddings with a photojournalistic approach.
• Assist couples with posing during sessions to ensure flattering photographs.
• Maintain availability calendar for freelance assignments.
• Deliver high-quality RAW photographs and images.
• Represent the Orca Creative Team as a freelancer and independent contractor.

Freelance Photographer Requirements:

• Minimum of ten (10) weddings’ experience as a lead photographer.
• Advanced understanding of natural light, posing, and off-camera flash techniques.

Equipment Requirement to be a Freelance Wedding Photographer:

• Two (2) Full Frame Cameras with Dual Memory Card Slots
• Variety of Prime and Zoom Lens with f/2.8 or lower covering multiple focal ranges
• On and Off-Camera Flash or Lighting Equipment
