Job Description:

• Craft copy and write introductions to segments airing in weekly 90-minute broadcast for Anchor Jane Pauley and any Correspondents who may substitute.
• Work with senior staff, producers, and correspondents on writing elements within pieces.
• Occasionally write brief segments like passages or obituaries.
• Exercise unbiased news judgment and adhere to CBS News policies, editorial standards, and style.

Requirements:

• At least four (4) years of television news writing experience.
• Experience in ENPS or equivalent news computer system.
• Ability to write sharp, active, and straightforward news reports, intros/tags, and teases from various materials.
• Ability to respond rapidly and effectively to tight deadlines and breaking news.

• Hiring Salary Range: $48.01 - $48.01.
