Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Part-Time Graphic Designer to support our marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail. This role involves creating compelling graphics for various marketing materials, including advertisements, PowerPoint presentations, and email campaigns. You will collaborate with different departments to ensure our visual content aligns with our brand identity and marketing goals particularly from a scientific perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Design and produce graphics for advertisements, ensuring they are visually appealing and on-brand.
- Create engaging PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key messages and data.
- Develop visually compelling email blast campaigns that capture the attention of our target audience.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality designs on time.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and concepts.
- Revise and refine designs based on feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure all graphics are optimized for various digital platforms and print media.
- Maintain a consistent visual style and adhere to brand guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a graphic designer or in a related field (education and / or school projects count).
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft PowerPoint, Constant Contact, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
- Flexibility to come into the office in Gaithersburg, Maryland, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on marketing campaigns or in a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and designing for digital media.
- Basic understanding of scientific language and / or data.
- While experience is preferred, recent graduates and current college students are encouraged to apply.
