Job Description

• Develop creative and engaging content for operational areas, including job aids, process reminders, procedural checklists, FAQs, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable content.
• Edit content to ensure consistency with branding and style guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a standard operating procedure framework.
• Regularly update and maintain content to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Respond to urgent content creation requests and deliver high-quality materials within tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, content creation, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Canva.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear, concise documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• High competence in technology, including AI, website updating, OneDrive, and digital sharing tools.

Other Information

• Experience in the utility industry is preferred, particularly in water and gas operations.
• Familiarity with modern software applications for content creation and distribution is a plus.
• Experience writing process and procedures for customer service or government regulations is desired.
• Prefer candidates to have their own toolkit of authoring and content creation tools.
• Hybrid remote work model in Richmond, VA.
• Full-time contract position with a pay rate of $33.00 per hour.
• Schedule includes 8-hour shifts.
