Job Description:

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Freelance Avid Video editor. The project will run approximately 5-8 weeks and could potentially lead to regular work. You must have experience with Avid Media Composer and be willing to work on location 5 days a week in Parsippany, NJ. Responsibilities include editing and assembling recorded footage, collaborating with the creative team, inputting music and effects, ensuring logical sequencing, and meeting all editing deadlines.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as an Avid Video Editor, strong knowledge of Avid video editing techniques and software, familiarity with various video formats and codecs, solid understanding of visual storytelling principles, ability to work independently or as part of a team, excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and precision in editing, knowledge of typography and graphic design principles is a plus, familiarity with content management systems is a plus.

Job Types: Freelance, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Schedule: 8-hour shift
