Job Description

This is a part-time, 30 hours a week on-site role for a Content Writer at Eastern Star Church. The Content Writer will be responsible for creating, revising, and proofreading all scripts and content for the church. Media Release experience will also be essential for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Writing scripts/content for ministries as needed
• Writing scripts for the weekly video announcements
• Revising, editing, and proofreading scripts/content
• Editing scripts/content for social media and other channels
• Working with internal teams to gather materials/information for social media postings
• Writing some content pieces for social media and other channels
• Updating the web scripts/content as needed
• Developing social media and content plans
• Working with the agency of record on the development of the content and posts
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience
• Ability to think creatively and translate ideas into writing and content pieces.
• Strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet short deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and coordinate with various teams, departments, and divisions.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as a valuable member of a team.
