Job Description

First Church of God is seeking a talented and passionate Graphic Designer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics that effectively communicate our church’s mission, vision, and events. This role requires a creative individual with a strong understanding of design principles, excellent communication skills, and a heart for ministry. The position offers the flexibility of hybrid remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce graphics for various church needs, including worship services, sermon series, social media, website, print materials, and special events.
• Ensure all designs align with the church’s branding guidelines and contribute to a cohesive visual identity.
• Work closely with the communications team, pastors, and ministry leaders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions.
• Create engaging and dynamic digital content for social media platforms, email newsletters, and the church website.
• Design and oversee the production of printed materials such as flyers, brochures, banners, and bulletins.
• Design promotional materials for church events, including posters, banners, and online graphics.
• Stay updated with current design trends and software, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to church communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a church or non-profit setting.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and other design software.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere is a plus.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including print and digital designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
• A commitment to the values and mission of First Church, with a desire to use design skills to support and enhance church ministries.
