Job Description:

WGRZ, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist to produce unique, well-written stories across all platforms with exceptional photography and editing skills. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a strong grasp of multi-platform journalism.

• Perform compelling live shots in breaking news situations
• Develop story ideas and maintain sources
• Produce on-air and online content within deadlines
• Utilize creative production techniques and social media for content distribution
• Attend editorial meetings and contribute story ideas daily

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of reporting experience preferred
• Strong news judgment, communication, creativity, and ethical decision-making skills
• Proficiency in writing, production, and tease writing
• Experience with ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics preferred
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle live breaking news situations
