Job Description

Care Partners Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Freelance Art Director located at One Liberty Plaza, New York, NY. The role offers a pay rate of $60-$65/hour, with morning shifts for a duration of 6 months. The Art Director will be a strategic, conceptual thinker with a background in branding and layout design specifically for beauty and fashion brands. The position involves collaboration with the Creative Director to support the visual representation of Avon brands, engaging in full-scale model and product photo shoots, as well as branded graphic design.

Responsibilities

• Ideate and execute brand visuals for each channel within the beauty and fashion categories.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver strong creative concepts for product launches.
• Maintain an elevated taste level and understanding of current beauty, fashion, and design trends.
• Create tight comps that represent creative direction and brand messaging effectively.
• Prep and art direct still-life and model photo shoots; provide comprehensive shoot decks.
• Lead outside agencies, stylists, photographers, and other collaborators.
• Manage multiple projects to ensure timelines are adhered to effectively.
• Exhibit leadership in driving the Avon brand while collaborating closely with the team.
• Display innovation and foresight in design and trends.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in creative development for print/digital in the beauty/fashion sector.
• Experience with model and product photo shoots, including casting and styling.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Knowledge of Flash and HTML is a plus.
• Highly creative with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio showcasing design and conceptual skills in print.
• Expertise in design, photography, and typography.
• Understanding of print production cycles and retouching processes.
• Effective communication skills for presenting designs to senior management.
• A proactive attitude and sense of ownership in work responsibilities.
