Job Description

The Art Director is responsible for design and creative strategy on Agency campaigns for various clients & brands, aiming to create campaigns and concepts that positively impact consumers. This role is a temporary assignment starting in October for 4-5 months.

Responsibilities include managing and working alongside design and creative teams, creating design mocks for diverse platforms, participating in client pitches, establishing brand guidelines, scoping project hours, executing visual design stages, leading brainstorming sessions, and ensuring alignment with client brand requirements.

The Art Director will also need to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and clients, adapt to feedback and criticism, travel as necessary, and manage outsourcing resources.

Requirements

Candidate must have at least 9+ years of professional design experience in an agency role or environment and a Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent education. The ideal applicant should have the ability to generate creative ideas and demonstrate strong design skills through a robust portfolio.

Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is essential, along with knowledge of HTML and CSS coding as a plus. Experience with printing processes, strong organizational skills, strategic direction, and excellent communication skills are also required.

The candidate should have a proven track record as a digital & traditional designer and director, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage multiple projects with great detail.

Location: Must be located in the United States, preferably in Southern California.
