Job Description

WRK digital are partnered with a thriving company that has gained a leading reputation within the music industry. They are seeking a Front End Developer to join their expanding team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a tight-knit development team and make a significant impact at the company. As a Front End Developer, you will enhance the existing platform, ensuring it remains user-friendly while pushing innovation. You will be hands-on with coding in Next.js and TypeScript, helping to bring creative and inspiring new features to life. Additionally, you will work directly with the Managing Director and other Front End Developers, collaborating with various individuals across the wider team. This is a hybrid role requiring work in their Central Leeds-based office, with flexibility discussions available.

Requirements

As a Front End Developer, you will have:

• A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Front End Developer with a strong focus on modern react development.
• Strong experience in JavaScript and familiarity with TypeScript, ideally Next.js.
• The ability to make informed decisions and communicate with multiple teams.
• An appreciation for attention to detail and high standards of UX and UI.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• A good understanding of web performance optimisation techniques.
• A passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends.

Responsibilities

As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with Front End Developers and the Product team to develop high-performance new features using Next.js.
• Working alongside UX and UI Designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
• Assisting in the integration of front-end components with back-end systems to ensure seamless functionality.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure all best practices and coding standards are maintained.
• Staying up to date on industry trends and the latest technologies to continuously improve your skills.
