Job Description

As part of our digital transformation, we’re building a new platform aimed at improving interaction and communication for our customers and colleagues. We are hiring a Senior Product Designer on a Fixed-term Contract basis for 24 months to deliver this exciting project. This role is positioned within a team that values innovation and modern development practices, contributing to our strong social purpose.

In this role, you will design and develop digital products centered around the customer/tenant journey in a complex and fast-paced sector. You will be responsible for creating end-to-end experiences, utilising your UI and UX skills, while ensuring that all design efforts support a cohesive brand narrative. Collaboration with stakeholders across the business is essential, as you will lead conceptual web and app design, co-developing apps and seeking feedback for continuous product improvement. We encourage proactive efforts to drive user-centric design practices that enhance the efficiency and innovation of our solutions, ensuring we remain competitive.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate should demonstrate a user-centric approach to design and be capable of troubleshooting complex issues while engaging colleagues in the process. Key skills and experience include:

• A degree in a computer-related subject, professional qualifications in web and mobile development, or comparable experience.
• Proven technical experience delivering UI/UX project work.
• Experience using design tools such as Sketch and Figma.
• Experience working with HTML5/CSS.
• Knowledge and experience of applying web accessibility standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.

Additional Information

This position offers a smart working environment, with a balance between working from our Birmingham, Bath Row office and remote work – typically three days in the office, subject to business needs.
