Job Description

Virgin Atlantic is a purpose-led long-haul airline committed to protecting the planet while delivering social and economic benefits to the destinations and communities we serve. We are on a mission to achieve net zero by 2050, and as part of our innovative approach, we need a Designer for our creative studio.

The Designer will work collaboratively with internal clients to deliver high-quality design that adheres to our brand standards, mainly focusing on ground and airport interiors. Occasionally, the role may also involve projects related to onboard and service experiences.

Requirements

We are looking for a passionate Designer with the following qualifications:

• Previous experience in one or more design fields such as architecture, interior design, or materials and finishes.
• Experience managing external agencies and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• A minimum of a degree-level qualification in a relevant field, or significant on-the-job experience in lieu.
• Knowledge of development processes for customer-oriented products and market introduction.
• Awareness of regulatory health and safety issues affecting environments worldwide.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling and rendering software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Solidworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape.
• Confidence in specifying furniture and finishes in high-end hospitality or retail settings.

Additional Information

Salary: Competitive per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Flexible working arrangement, requiring 3 days a week in our VHQ, Crawley

Contract: Fixed Term Contract
