Job Description

Known is looking for a talented and multidisciplinary Sr. Designer/Animator to join their Design team. The role involves working with the VP, Head of Design to develop innovative design and animation executions across various platforms, including digital, print, social media, UX/UI, visual identity systems, and video. The position requires a passionate designer and animator with a precise eye for brand, type, layout, composition, and color design. Candidates must be based in either NYC or LA and available to work from the office 2+ days a week. This temporary position has the potential to transition into a full-time benefited role for the right candidate.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• BA in design or related field
• 5-7+ years of professional experience in design at an advertising agency, design firm, or in-house creative team
• Experience in brand design and animation across various projects, with a solid understanding of best practices across key disciplines and deliverables, such as social media and web design
• Superior design eye and understanding of fundamental design disciplines and trends (brand design, type, layout, image composition, infographic design)
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Figma, and Google Suite
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong work ethic, adaptability to changing demands, and ability to develop options for quick project changes
• Self-driven, eager, and passionate about design and advertising

Responsibilities

The Sr. Designer/Animator will:

• Create pixel-perfect designs and animations for various media, including video, social media, print, PR/internal communications, and presentations
• Collaborate with the VP, Head of Design, on conceptual designs and animations that align with creative briefs
• Develop and maintain brand and platform guidelines
• Design and animate innovative assets for social media and video
• Contribute to holistic brand experiences aimed at meeting business goals
• Stay updated on design trends and industry technologies
• Prioritize multiple projects with dynamic deadlines
• Communicate consistently with project stakeholders about project status and challenges
• Provide technical input on projects for high-quality and timely delivery
• Brainstorm conceptual directions and contribute ideas in creative meetings
• Manage creative request workflow by prioritizing projects
