Job Description

Bardel Entertainment, an Emmy Award-winning studio with over 35 years in the animation industry, is seeking a talented 2D Harmony Animator for a unique project. This position involves working in a collaborative environment to bring characters to life with a gritty and gory aesthetic. The animator will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing the overall look, attitude, and style of character animation while promoting sound solutions for technical and creative issues.

Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A portfolio showcasing:
• Strong understanding of traditional 2D animation principles
• Strong understanding of 2D cut-out animation workflows and techniques
• High level of polish and strong character acting skills (both comedic and subtle)
• Previous experience animating in Harmony
• 2D TV/Film production experience
• A positive attitude and dedication to the project’s success

Only BC-based candidates will be considered for this position. Candidates must legally be able to work in Canada for any employer.

Additional Information

Position Dates: Mid-August to Mid-October

Salary Range: CAD $1,100 - $1,300 / week
