Job Description

A new mobile game studio is seeking an experienced 2D Artist to collaborate on a freelance basis. The team is currently prototyping a new casual project in the logic puzzle/word space. Responsibilities include creating high-quality 2D assets for a picture puzzle game, crafting large-scale, complex 2D level backgrounds and collectible items that can be hidden in them, ensuring consistency in style, and working closely with the product team and game director to contribute ideas for game design and narrative.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong portfolio demonstrating experience with mass-market casual mobile games, evidenced by shipped projects (ideally, cartoony puzzle, merge, or other casual game).
• 2-6 years of relevant experience in 2D game art production.
• Proficiency in Unity and understanding of asset optimization techniques.

Nice to Have:

• 2D assets export and Unity hand-off skills.
• Unity 2D Animator or Spine 2D skills.
• Color management and technical 2D knowledge.
