Job Description

We’re looking for a freelance motion graphics designer who knows how to breathe life into business subjects with detailed, often complex content. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within a marketing team and be driven by deadlines to create dynamic, visually interesting content. While character animation is a required skill, this is not a job for people looking to make character-driven feature films. We primarily tell stories with marketing information as the backbone.

The ideal candidate will have expert skills in After Effects CC, with additional skills in Premiere and Cinema 4D desired. Additional skills in HTML5 animation using Hype are a big plus. This is a remote-only position and candidates will need their own hardware.

Responsibilities

• Storyboard concepting with our writers and working with our in-house designers to develop the look and feel of videos.
• Working closely with the creative director to meet the marketing goals of each project.
• Creating all animation, from start to finish.
• Managing additional freelance resources.
• Working as animation director when additional resources are needed.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a reel that demonstrates both technical ability and the ability to tell a story in a creative and direct manner. They must be able to take charge of a project and see it through to a successful conclusion that exceeds the client’s expectations. This is a contract position.
