Job Description

Please note that this is a 100% position but candidates must reside in the province of Quebec.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and established coding standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
• Refactor legacy code and improve it with modern development standards.
• Lead the entire app lifecycle from concept to delivery and post-launch support.
• Participate in project planning and contribute to team stand-ups and meetings.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Frontend / Mobile Software Engineer.
• Experience and comfort with React, React Native, React-Query, styled-components, Apollo Client, Typescript, GraphQL.
• Comfortable with iOS and Android SDKs.
• Experience working with Bitrise or equivalent mobile DevOps platforms.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Proficient with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX standards and a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new technologies.
