Job Description

The Senior UI Developer plays a critical role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between Corporate Safety, Tech Ops business needs, and technology delivery. The Senior Developer’s responsibility is to lead the efforts to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient systems and solutions in support of Corporate Safety business functions. This role involves applying proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues, maximizing the benefits of IT and business investments. Additionally, the developer will build applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions, using groundbreaking technologies and enterprise-grade integration software. The individual will be relied upon to elevate the team’s technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design and development teams to ensure digital experiences meet high standards of usability and performance.
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using JavaScript, CSS, React, and HTML.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and developers to implement responsive and accessible designs in accordance with United guidelines.
• Work with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications to meet their needs.
• Conduct testing and analyze results to optimize user experience and application performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across various browsers and devices.
• Manage and participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our interfaces remain cutting-edge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging new and existing software systems and/or applications.
• 6+ years of experience with React JS or equivalent framework, Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering standard processes such as versioning control, software packaging, and software release management using GitHub.
• Exceptional coding skills with a focus on timely delivery of quality components and applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Creativity and innovation.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with Angular JS is a plus.
• DevOps experience is a plus.
• AWS experience is highly preferred.
