Job Description

We are looking for a video producer with experience in short-form digital content to oversee the production of several short videos for an important new campaign focused around the Ukraine war. Based in London and working under our Director of Content, you will be part of a small production team responsible for devising, scripting, producing (via remote crews), and editing multiple short films simultaneously, guiding them from start to finish.

As the production lead on this project, you will manage scheduling, ensuring that all production milestones are met and all assets are delivered on time. Your role will involve collaborating with our accounts, digital, and project management teams to facilitate the smooth delivery of the project. This is an office-based position that does not require shooting or directing skills or any foreign language proficiency.

You should have a first-hand understanding of and interest in digital content, along with being resourceful, curious, and full of ideas. You will oversee the production of several videos filmed across different countries, requiring high levels of organisation, efficiency, positivity, and a proactive attitude toward meeting deadlines.

Ideally, you will combine a journalistic sensibility with the ability to create engaging, entertaining, and must-watch content. Significant experience in editing is essential, as well as strong skills in writing clear, attention-grabbing scripts while conveying complex information simply and concisely.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with partners to devise content ideas in line with their needs
• Writing engaging scripts that convey complex information in a simple and clear manner
• Suggesting ideas for graphics
• Commissioning filmmakers in each country and overseeing them remotely
• Taking ownership of schedules for the project
• Ensuring assets are delivered to a high standard and on time
• Edit producing multiple short videos simultaneously
• Keeping all edit scripts and paperwork up to date

Requirements

• Understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms
• Several edit producer credits
• Experience in current affairs, news, features, or other journalistic production
• Extensive experience in scripting
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Fantastic and meticulous attention to detail
• A positive and flexible ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to solve problems
• Ability to work well with the team
• Understanding of short-form social video

Additional Information

It would be advantageous to have:

• Experience of producing video content for YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook
• Experience in editing films in foreign languages
