Job Description

The role of a Junior UX Designer at Canonical involves participating in a mission to turn complex, open-source software into intuitive products that enhance enterprise IT. As part of the design team, you will collaborate with visual designers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver exciting web projects that impact the lives of millions. This role is remote based in the EMEA region, and you’ll report to one of the UX design managers. As a Junior UX Designer, you will prioritize clear, stylish presentation in your designs, focusing on usability, accessibility, and web standards.

Requirements

• Excellent academic results at school and university.

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or STEM.

• Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology, and design.

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement - curious, flexible, scientific.

• Drive to finish work and celebrate success.

• Confidence in user research practices.

• Engagement with the latest design research and innovation.

• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and executives.
