**Location:** Newcastle
**Work Schedule:** Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Ready to take your design career to the next level? In this role, you’ll own the design of AI-driven products, see your work through to launch and beyond, and make a meaningful impact on customers and communities. You’ll join a small team of talented designers while being part of a wider global community of analysts and developers, with the freedom to do the best work of your career.
Requirements
Your responsibilities will include:
- Competitor analysis, user model definition, and collaboration with analysts.
- Design of product features, including layout patterns, UI elements, navigation patterns, and information architecture.
- Divergent and convergent iterative design backed up with rationale and critique.
- Rapid prototyping and user testing.
- Production of high-fidelity pixel-perfect designs, collaborating with visual designers and developers.
- Collaboration within a thriving design community.
You should have strong experience in:
- UX and UI design, with a track record of shipped projects.
- Interaction design - low-to-high fidelity, iterative design.
- Expert level use of Figma.
- The design of cloud software, software-as-a-service (SaaS) or rich interactive systems.
- Design thinking (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test).
- Accessible design and responsive design.
Practical experience in the following areas is a good advantage:
- Information architecture
- Lean and Agile methodologies
- Design Sprint or value proposition design methods
- Customer journey mapping and service design
- Product-led growth
- Designing for product ecosystems or Design Systems
- Design collaboration and critique in a larger design organisation
- Native mobile (iOS or Android)
Generalist experience in these areas is beneficial but not a focus:
- User research and user testing
- Content design
- Business analysis
**Not a focus:** Visual design, design of websites, marketing design, ‘digital’ design, design of physical products, brand design.
