Job Description
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) is seeking a temporary full-time Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer (Mid-Senior) with expertise in C#.NET, SQL Server, and Azure. This position is based at their Headquarters office in Arlington, VA, for a duration of six months, and is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days a week. The role involves development and maintenance of NMCRSâ detailed Line of Business computer program, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation as per project goals. The engineer will also resolve application malfunctions to ensure continuity of service for business functions.
The successful candidate will be part of the Information Technology (IT) team, bringing multiple levels of technical expertise in applications/web development and software design.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelorâs Degree in Computer Science, Information or Business Technology, or related field from an accredited institution (equivalent career experience considered).
- 3+ years Front End development with Angular and/or AngularJS.
- Minimum of 4 years of .NET Web API web services experience.
- Proven experience in high throughput and large-scale RESTful web services using C# and .NET Web API framework.
- Strong .NET development skills with experience in Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC, Webforms, ASP.NET Core 2.0, Web API, Entity Framework, AJAX, JQuery, SQL Server, Twitter Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, SASS, jQuery/Javascript, Typescript, and Unit Testing; strong understanding of N-tier architecture concepts.
- Experience with MS SQL Server database.
- Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Knowledge of Finance and Accounting applications.
- 3-5 yearsâ experience in a military and business environment collaborating with diverse divisions and stakeholders.
- Practical development and coding experience.
- Consulting background.
Other Information
