Job Description

As a .NET Developer at Version 1, you will work within a Scrum Team characterized by cross-functional skills and tight collaboration in an Agile environment. You will contribute to technology decisions to create maintainable solutions for clients, while also enhancing your skills and developing as a rounded Developer. Your responsibilities will include developing software to meet client needs using C#/.NET on the Microsoft Azure Cloud, adhering to best practice guidelines, and improving those guidelines as necessary.

SC Clearance is a requirement for this position.

You will be expected to fulfill the following role expectations:

• Develop multi-tier applications and manage all aspects of design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Design solutions with a Cloud-first mentality and translate functional and system requirements into technical solutions.
• Create designs using best practices in web development for security, maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Identify functionality scope, suggest development solutions, and provide timely updates on tasks.
• Collaborate with customers to evaluate application development and business process change requests.
• Develop test scenarios and scripts as integral to the software quality assurance process.
• Create clean, maintainable code and supporting technical documentation.

Requirements

The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:

• SC Clearance is required.
• Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer.
• Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g. MVC).
• Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) as well as HTML5/CSS3, Angular, React, or Blazor.
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC).
• Experience with cloud services, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

This role can be delivered in a hybrid nature from one of the following offices: Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle upon Tyne, or London.
