Job Description

The role involves working in video production, where the candidate will advise in the interpretation and delivery of performances, arrange film segments into sequences for continuity and desired effects, and determine the scheduling of production. The individual will edit motion picture film based on the director’s vision, ensuring that all details align with the project’s original intention. Additionally, the candidate will monitor the project’s success after release and plan, organize, and direct the artistic aspects of production, determining lighting, lenses, camera angles, and backgrounds.

Requirements

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.

Production Credits: 20+ productions.

Type of Production or Direction Concentration: Preproduction direction, Postproduction direction. Type of media includes Advertising or Communications, Video.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and a strong attention to detail.
