Job Description
The Videographer/Editor β Temporary role will be responsible for creating video content that supports and advances various MSG business initiatives. This position requires wearing multiple hats in both the pre-production, production, and post-production processes, including building storyboards, creating shot lists, location scouting, content capture, media management, story editing, selecting stock footage, building motion graphics & text animations, editing and mastering audio, exporting multiple formats for social media, compressing and resizing files, and captioning.
Responsibilities
- Assemble long and short form content under direction from senior staff for multiple departments.
- Collaborate with other Videographer/Editors and Editors for content creation.
- Shoot and handle basic lighting for mid to large size video productions.
- Support colleagues in pre-production and shoot production.
- Oversee, organize and maintain the equipment area.
- Participate in larger shoots as an additional camera or Assistant Camera (AC).
- Ingest, organize, log, and clean-up footage from shoots to prepare for editing.
- Collaborate with Producers and Project Managers to understand the intended messaging.
- Make suggestions/audition music, graphics, and effects within the edit.
- Export, re-format, and quality check all deliveries to ensure they meet specifications.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience as a Videographer and/or Director of Photography in varying environments.
- Strong experience with editing, postproduction, and graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
- Motion graphics capabilities are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of various cameras, equipment, shooting, and editing styles and techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality content regardless of conditions.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, clear communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to embrace aggressive deadlines while maintaining creativity.
Special Requirements
- Some non-traditional working hours may be necessary based on business needs and deadlines.
- Travel may be required for shoots and other business needs.
- Able to lift 35-50 lbs of production equipment.

$1,500β$1,900 USD
