Duration: 5+ Months

The Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration is currently accepting applications for a Graphic Designer within the Administration Division in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for creating marketing materials and campaigns to educate and promote F&A events, programs, and projects internally and externally. This position is eligible for remote work.

Specific Responsibilities of the Role:

• Assist the Communications & Public Relations division with graphical needs for social media, video, publications, presentations, posters, flyers, brochures, maps, newsletters, annual reports, and the website.
• Assist videographer with video production, providing high-quality, creative animations, and visuals.
• Focus on Digital Marketing and social media, developing, executing, and measuring effective digital marketing strategies.
• Incorporate digital media, video, and visual elements into communications efforts, including designing graphics and illustrations.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related professional work experience in graphic design.
• Proficient in graphic design programs, including the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Excellent skills in typography, branding, and layout.
• Working knowledge of Canva, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint; basic video production skills.
• Proven artistic and design skills.
• Working knowledge of HTML, basic web development, and content management systems.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite desired; experience with graphic, design, photo, and video-editing software is an asset.
• Previous digital marketing and social media experience with an agency or freelance expected.
• Experience in web design and web content management is a plus.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment screen.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift
