Job Description

Sun Labs’s affiliated business, Fujipaws Radgoll, is seeking a dynamic and creative Comic Artist / Illustrator to join our team. This role focuses on creating dynamic comic book-style illustrations that capture the playful essence of Ragdoll cats and their interactions with business owners. The artist will collaborate closely with the design and marketing teams to bring stories and characters to life. While the position is based in Irvine, CA, remote work is an option.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop original comic book-style illustrations that align with the Fujipaws Radgoll brand.

- Collaborate with writers and creative directors to visualize scripts and concepts.

- Create character designs, backgrounds, and layouts for comic strips or books.

- Utilize graphic design skills to ensure cohesive and visually appealing layouts.

- Edit and revise illustrations based on feedback while maintaining artistic integrity.

- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into your work.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a comic artist or illustrator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your illustrative style.

- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Clip Studio Paint, etc.).

- Strong understanding of layout design, composition, and color theory.

- Ability to create expressive characters and engaging narratives through visual storytelling.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Passion for storytelling, especially in relation to cats and whimsical themes.

Job Types and Pay
