Job Description

A well-known human rights and environmental attorney is starting a new podcast focusing on critical environmental issues and stories. The podcast will be operated from the attorney’s apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NY. The attorney, who boasts over 350k followers across various platforms and has appeared on prominent media outlets such as Vice, MSNBC, CNN, Democracy Now, The New York Times, and The Guardian, is looking to hire a part-time studio operator. This role includes setting up cameras and lighting, recording audio, and sending recorded files to an editor. The podcast will feature discussions, interviews, debates, and discourse with environmentalists, academics, activists, celebrities, and friends of the host.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be motivated and interested in securing an entry-level position in podcasting, video production, environmentalism, and human rights advocacy. Candidates should also exhibit potential for growth into a full-time role, which would encompass additional responsibilities such as editing and social media management. The expected working hours are 8-16 per week, with opportunities for flexible scheduling.

Location Requirements

Ability to commute to New York, NY 10025 is required. Candidates must also relocate to New York, NY 10025 before starting work. The work location will be in person.
