Job Description

Our Ontario Government Client is hiring a UI/UX Designer with strong expertise in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This role focuses on creating accessible, user-friendly interfaces, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing designs aligned with Ontario Digital Standards.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Expertise in WCAG and accessible UI design
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience designing for Salesforce Experience Cloud

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams and ministry stakeholders
• Develop accessible wireframes and prototypes
• Conduct user research to improve usability
• Create user journey maps and design documentation
• Support Agile delivery and provide knowledge transfer
• Recommend process improvements and system enhancements
• Assist in business system development and support new team members

Skills and Experience:

• Public Sector Experience: 5+ years in healthcare and Ontario Digital Standards
• Technical Expertise: 5+ years in UI/UX design, experience with WCAG, Salesforce, and design tools
• Development & Design Skills: Strong presentation skills and AODA compliance expertise, ability to design across web, mobile, and desktop platforms
• Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Problem-Solving Skills: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, conduct thorough research and recommend solutions
