Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Lead/Java Fullstack Developer. This is an 11+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in New York, NY/Richmond, VA (Hybrid). The role involves leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers, focusing on distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory needs for the company. You will collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends and participating in technology communities.
• Mentor other members of the engineering community and evaluate code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize multiple programming languages and tools including Java, Python, SQL, Node, and AWS.

Requirements

• Key Skills: Lead/Java Fullstack Developer, Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, Some Python, Scala, UI (Angular or React), AWS, Node, Data migration.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Client Cloud).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $50 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
