Guiness World of Records in Florence
Sound Engineer is needed in Italy.
I am seeking a qualified sound engineer for a personal project aiming for a Guinness World Record in screaming. The expert must hold a qualification from IOA, ASA, AES, or possess a bachelorās degree in audio/acoustics. The job will require a few hours of work at a location in Florence, Italy, where specific sound measurement and equipment calibration is necessary. The engineer will need to provide a report confirming the measurement details and submit proof of their qualifications as part of the documentation required for the record attempt.
Specification:
- The noise level reader must be positioned between 1.5 and 1.6 metres above the ground, and must be no closer than 2.5 metres away from the nearest participant.
- The event must be held outdoors to eliminate reflected sound, or in a ādead roomā as used in sound recording where sound reflections are suppressed. Early reflections in the room must be reduced by at least 10 dB. Details of the location chosen must be provided.
- One sound engineerās report confirming the exact details of the measurement, including calibration dates of the equipment. Please ensure that proof of the sound engineerās qualification is also submitted.
- 4.Background noise is to be measured as an A weighted Equivalent Continuous Sound Pressure Level (LAeq) over 30 seconds within one minute of the attempt and must be less than 60 dBA (please ignore guideline below stating it must be less than 70 dBA). Any spurious sounds make null and void the attempt. Photographic and video evidence of the background noise directly prior or after the attempt must be provided.
- The sound level produced must be measured on a Class 1 precision measuring sound level meter in accordance to the latest ISO/EN/BSi/IEC standard (e.g. IEC 61672-1:2013). The sound level meter must be laboratory certified and calibrated within one year of the attempt. Where possible the sound level meter should be calibrated on site using a portable calibrator
- Background noise is to be measured as an A weighted Equivalent Continuous Sound Pressure Level (LAeq) over 30 seconds within one minute of the attempt and must be less than 60 dBA (please ignore guideline below stating it must be less than 70 dBA). Any spurious sounds make null and void the attempt. Photographic and video evidence of the background noise directly prior or after the attempt must be provided.
