Job Description

Vida Shoes International is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Freelancer as our Junior Graphic Designer for the Jambu and Co. footwear division. The selected candidate will work cross-functionally with Production, Design, and Marketing. They must be innately creative with an eye for design, able to generate fresh ideas while maintaining each brand’s unique identity. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating innovative and effective designs for a variety of digital and print projects. This role requires a high level of organization and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create innovative designs for various digital and print projects including:
• Tradeshow assets (Seasonal postcards/promo materials, Banners, backdrops, other signage)
• Co-op assets (print/digital assets, ads for boutique pages, etc.)
• Digital/social banners
• Monthly Newsletters
• Amazon A+ detail pages
• Assist with product photo retouching and formatting for multiple platforms/customers/vendors
• Design from ideation to execution
• Work independently in a quick and efficient manner
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to articulate assets for specific products
• Support with digital asset databases and marketing materials

Requirements

• BFA Degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
• Proficiency in Video Editing (After Effects, Premiere/Final-Cut)
• Experience with MS Office, primarily Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Strong project management skills; ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
• Proficient in HTML and CSS
• Self-starter with creative ideas
• Ability to produce proof-read, self-edited materials
• Highly organized, communicative, and adaptable
• Must live in NYC and be willing to commute to the Midtown office
• Collaborative spirit and open to feedback

Compensation

Compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $30 an hour.
