Job Description

The FCA is looking for a Developer for a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract, with a salary of up to £60,000. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of the Digital Delivery Hub as part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division. The role emphasizes collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation, leveraging data to improve financial regulation. The Leeds Digital Delivery Hub is focused on applying User Centred Design, Agile, and DevOps principles, contributing to the development of sound products while ensuring compliance with architectural and quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum:

  • Experience as a Developer with a solid understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Experience working within a development squad responsible for code development.
  • Experience with Scripting and Object-Oriented programming languages (such as Angular and Java).

Essential:

  • Graduate level education (or equivalent experience) in Computing, Computer Science, or a related subject.
  • Adept at leveraging automation to improve development processes and optimize software delivery.
  • Good communication skills, both within the squad and with wider team members.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with engineers and product teams including designers, product managers, and analysts.
