Job Description
Weโre offering an exciting opportunity for UX Designers to play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our customer-facing websites. Your role will involve crafting solutions that enhance user journeys for optimal effectiveness, efficiency, and enjoyment, all while staying aligned with our core business objectives. You will work with the UX team to develop the UX strategy, identify & address potential pain points, and ensure that every aspect of the product user experience is guided by a user-centric approach. This position combines elements of both remote and office work, with a schedule of 2 days per week at our Bradford office and 3 days of remote work from home. You have the flexibility to choose your working hours, starting anytime between 8 โ 10am and working for 7.5 hours each day.
Role Responsibilities
- Investigate user problems, conducting thorough discovery to define usable and valuable solutions.
- Create meaningful UX deliverables, including storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interaction models, journey flows, conceptual designs, and presentations to convey user intent.
- Deliver UX solutions that measurably improve the core workflows of target users.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to develop user empathy and understand intent, motivation, and behavior.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, strategists, analysts, developers, and designers throughout the design process.
- Design and deliver user experience solutions for all products, using a thorough discovery process.
- Solve interaction design problems through analytical research and usability testing.
- Work with Product Designers on FGH Design Language and Design System.
- Conduct heuristic reviews to inform research studies and design improvements.
- Create prototypes using tools such as Figma to illustrate design and interaction ideas or assist with user research.
- Support the creation of a common FGH Design Language that meets user and business requirements.
- Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues to enhance their skills, following departmental standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of directly related experience as a UX designer or similar.
- A degree in design, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, human factors, or a related UX field.
- Ability to manage time and resources on multiple projects under pressure.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams across various business areas.
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Significant expertise in identifying UX issues and developing recommendations.
- Proven ability to empathize with users and understand their needs and mental models.
- Familiarity with UX trends and methodologies.
- Strong skills in UX tools such as Figma and Photoshop.
- Understanding of UX techniques like personas, red route analysis, and user mental modeling.
- Experience in planning and facilitating user research.
- Ability to analyze data and synthesize findings to shape UX design deliverables.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Strong communication skills to present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for user-centered design.
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements.
