Job Description

The University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Educational Initiatives requests assistance with internal and external communications efforts, including content creation and dissemination of messaging that plays a critical role in our recruitment, application, and programmatic cycles. This includes web and email messaging, press releases, newsletters, written stories, mailings, brochures, program booklets, one-pagers, posters, logos, hooks, table tents, banners, reports, and more.

As a Digital Marketing Strategist, you will support the management of our iei.nd.edu and ace.nd.edu websites (both front and back end, using Drupal). Responsibilities include content review and upload, troubleshooting issues, designing, creating, reviewing, editing, and executing ACE monthly newsletters (for 37,000+ subscribers) and promotional emails in Mailchimp. You will also review content for ND/IEI/ACE brand standards, edit, and send all MailChimp newsletters, promotional emails, and campaigns in support of 10+ ACE programs. Additional tasks involve creating, editing, and sending conference emails and job outreach to ACE grads, as well as segmenting, adding, and managing email lists to target specific audience segments for critical recruiting and promotional purposes. Finally, manage the IEI and ACE websites by liaising with 18+ programs and eight initiatives for page and content creation, editing, and maintenance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Web Design, Communications, or related field
• Experience with major email marketing service providers, like Mailchimp, Slate, etc.
• Proficiency in Joomla CMS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other typical coding languages
• Attention to detail
• Content writing
• Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Drupal CMS
