Job Description
Emm is on a mission to improve the everyday lives of those who menstruate through revolutionary technology and specialist knowledge. The company has created the first smart, reusable menstrual product with inbuilt biometric technology, providing users with a better period experience and personalized insights into their menstrual health. Emm is in rapid growth prior to product launch and is expanding its team to help deliver this first consumer product. The role of the UX Designer is to lead the innovation in user experience, shaping the future of menstrual and reproductive health by conceptualizing, designing, testing, and launching essential product features.
Requirements
For the role of UX Designer, the ideal candidate will have the following experience or knowledge:
- 3-5 years of experience in UX and/or product design.
- Experience delivering exceptional user experiences with IoT/connected products, specifically in wearables and consumer app design.
- Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
- Proficiency in design tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Figma, wire framing, workflow diagramming, and prototyping.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills capable of conveying complex design concepts through qualitative insights and quantitative data.
- Autonomous work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing a range of app user flows and demonstrating measurable impacts and user advocacy.
Preferred:
- A curiosity and passion for the healthtech industry.
- Knowledge or experience working on medical devices or in a regulated environment.
- Experience developing UI component libraries within Figma.
- Experience in data visualization.
