Job Description

Bethlehem United Methodist Church is seeking a passionate and skilled Audio Engineer to join our vibrant faith community located in Franklin, Tennessee. The role involves providing audio support for worship services that blend traditional and contemporary music styles. You will collaborate with worship staff, set up audio equipment, mix sound for both in-person and online audiences, troubleshoot technical issues, and train volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the worship staff to support audio for two Sunday morning worship services, with a possible transition to one service.
• Setup mics and inputs.
• Support soundcheck and rehearsal.
• Mix sound for in-person congregation and broadcast for online audience.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio.
• Schedule and train volunteers for audio-related tasks.
• Support other areas of worship ministry as requested.

Requirements

• A strong commitment to God and the mission of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
• Ability to work well with teams of staff and volunteers with respect and joyfulness.
• Proficiency with audio and electronics, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Familiarity with United Methodist worship, including traditional and contemporary styles, is a plus.

Roland M-300 - 32 channel digital mixing console with Roland M-48 personal monitor mixers for stage and various wireless and wired mic and instrument inputs.
