Job Description
Walker Sands is seeking a talented Brand Designer to join our internal Growth team and take ownership of the agency’s visual brand across sales, marketing, and other enablement collateral. In this non-billable capacity, you will work closely with the agency’s marketing, sales, content, and services leadership teams to design various materials including capabilities and sales decks, concept mockups for new business pitches, thought leadership content, ads, social media graphics, and training materials. Your attention to detail, conceptual thinking, and inventive creativity will ensure all applications of the Walker Sands brand are consistent, compelling, creative, clear, and pixel-perfect.
Requirements
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in graphic design and working within brand guidelines in either an in-house or agency environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and other relevant design software. Experience with animation and/or video editing software is a plus.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, demonstrating mastery in:
- Brand expression: Ability to apply direction from documented visual identity across diverse content types.
- Information design: Skill in turning complex content into clear, compelling visual communication devices.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts effectively.
Creativity: Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate innovative design solutions.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual balance.
Responsibilities
As a Brand Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Design Development: Create compelling layouts and graphics for various marketing and internal enablement materials.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs align with Walker Sands brand guidelines.
- Communication + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality work.
- Conceptualization: Generate creative concepts for marketing campaigns and projects.
- Quality Control: Review and proofread designs for accuracy and high standards.
- Time + Project Management: Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with UX/UI design, HTML/CSS, web design principles, experience working on an in-house marketing team in an agency environment, and experience designing sales enablement content in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
