We pride ourselves on a culture that’s both innovative and down-to-earth. We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our team, someone who can manage projects autonomously while being a great collaborator.

This role reports directly to the Design Director, and you’ll be responsible for leading the design process from start to finish, developing concepts and turning ideas into beautifully crafted digital products. You will balance creativity with practicality, transforming complex ideas into intuitive, user-friendly designs. Close collaboration with clients, developers, product managers, and other designers is essential to deliver high-quality projects.

This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at the Newcastle studio a few days a week as well as at client meetings/workshops.

  • You’re friendly, hardworking, and sociable, capable of leading workshops and engaging with colleagues.
  • You’re confident in running discovery workshops and creative sessions independently.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Highly creative with strong UI/UX and visual skills demonstrated through a portfolio.
  • Solid understanding of design principles and best practices, creating user-centered digital products.
  • Familiarity with Figma, FigJam/Miro, and prototyping tools.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting design decisions effectively.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Open to receiving and providing feedback to improve designs and processes.

Nice to Have (Optional)

  • Experience in conducting user research.
  • Experience in branding design.
  • Familiarity with Framer and building websites.
  • Experience with animation and micro-interactions.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design projects from discovery and ideation to delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops and creative sessions with clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with developers and strategists to create impactful work.
  • Design user-centered digital products for web and mobile.
  • Translate user needs and business goals into elegant designs.
  • Present design decisions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and expand design systems for consistency across projects.
  • Iterate designs based on various feedback mechanisms.
