Job Description

We are searching for a CAD Designer/Estimator for our mechanical contractor client in Sidney, OH. Responsibilities include creating 2D shop and construction drawings using CAD software, assisting with 3D coordination on large construction projects, and producing drawings to meet job specifications. The role will also involve plumbing and HVAC estimating, with training provided for those without prior experience.

Requirements

Education:

• High School

Experience:

• 1-4 years preferred, but 2+ years experience is a plus. Willing to teach.

Skills:

• Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD required
• Ability to review design sketches and specs and create technical drawings for construction
• Experience with Navisworks or 3D software.
• Communication skills to interact with customers, engineers, other trades, and installers.
• Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC regulations and codes preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

• Isometric drawings knowledge is a plus.
• Construction background preferred, but not required.
• HVAC/plumbing background would be beneficial.
