The Creative team at Wood Mackenzie focuses on delivering a market-leading visual brand across various digital, print, and video assets. This team partners with various stakeholders to drive revenue through marketing campaigns and events.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a passionate individual with a flair for video editing and storytelling. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and work across a range of projects, from editing interviews to creating 2D motion graphic animations. As part of a dynamic in-house creative team, you will ensure video content adheres to brand guidelines while demonstrating innovation and outside-in thinking.

Main Responsibilities

• Video editing, including adding titles, graphics, music, sound effects, and color grading.
• Creating 2D motion graphic animations and infographics.
• Developing storyboards and style frames for 2D animation projects.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to refine project ideas and briefs.
• Photo editing and implementing brand guidelines.
• Managing projects using online project management tools.
• Archiving project files.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing and animation.
• A degree or equivalent in art/video/digital design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A compelling showreel showcasing relevant experience.
• A cover letter explaining your suitability for the role.
• Experience editing short-form video content.
• Experience in 2D animation and graphic design principles.
• Highly skilled in Apple’s FCPX ecosystem and/or Adobe’s Creative Suite.
• Sound judgement in selecting appropriate music for projects.
• Experience in transcribing video and adding captions.
• Interest in the latest digital technologies and video storytelling trends.

Desirables

• Experience with DSLR cameras and audio/lighting equipment.
• Experience working with freelancers for video shoots.
• Interest or experience in 3D animation software, specifically Cinema 4D.
