Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing the information flow and visibility of UNDP’s work in crisis contexts on digital communications and social media platforms. This role involves developing engaging and creative visual assets to communicate knowledge and results produced within the Crisis Bureau, as well as across UNDP Country Offices in crisis contexts, targeting various audiences.

Key responsibilities include leading social media strategy design and delivery, content creation, measuring web and social media performance, and performing additional responsibilities as required.

Requirements

Education:

• An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in journalism, communications, digital communications, or related field is required, OR
• A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above-mentioned areas, combined with two additional years of qualifying experience.

Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience producing digital communications content and advocacy material with a master’s degree, OR
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience of social media friendly video production from conceptualization to publication on digital channels.

Skills:

• Proficiency in graphic design, video production/editing, and/or animation using software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in producing communication products including reports, newsletters, graphics, and videos.
• Ability to translate complex messages into plain language for audience appeal.

Language:

• Fluency in English is required.
