Job Description

An exciting opportunity has come up with a leading law firm in Leeds for a Copywriter to join their marketing department. As the Copywriter, you will work with various departments to identify and author content about the firm, its services, and its sectors. The aim is to create content that stands out and resonates with target markets, raising awareness and building trust in the firm’s expertise. This role will significantly impact the quantity, quality, and reach of the firm’s messaging.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities for generating content.
• Collaborate on producing a brief.
• Consider the best primary and secondary forms of communication.
• Author content appropriate for the channel on which it will be shared.
• Repurpose content to maximize impact and reach.
• Work with the team to ensure effective distribution of content across channels.
• Build relationships with key media outlets for positive press release responses.
• Collaborate with the strategic PR consultant to adhere to the firm’s PR strategy.
• Develop and maintain standard sector brochures promoting the firm’s skills and experience.
• Generate bespoke versions of content when necessary.
• Produce expert content and insights on core topics like net zero, modern workplace, and good business.
• Ensure effective distribution of expert content across channels.
• Operate across and work with colleagues in the Leeds, Manchester, and Newcastle offices.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Awareness of best practices in channels and messaging.
• Ability to work with and influence people at all levels.
• Considerable organizational skills, able to balance a wide range of priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills.
• Ability to develop positive relationships quickly within and outside the firm.
• Highly IT proficient, including Microsoft Office and social media channels.
• Experience in writing and producing PR and marketing communications materials.
• Experience in balancing multiple projects at once.
